Community News

Rec & Roll: Community Open House

Get ready to rec and roll at our first ever Open House event! Designed to amplify our community members, we are inviting businesses and service clubs to come out and briefly present on their agency, network with the community, and enjoy some light refreshments to follow. Join us and let’s make this event a rockin’ success! RSVP by September 20th.

Freedom Park

We are excited to announce that we've secured funding through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to enhance Freedom Park, and we want your input! Share your thoughts by participating in our digital survey, or join us at one of our upcoming events to help prioritize updates and new amenities for the park. Renovations will begin 2025. Visit our website, or click here for the digital survey.

Paint the Parks

We are excited to start our newest initiative, Paint the Parks! After all the positive feedback from the Community Mural at Karl Rosario Park, we would like to continue to paint our parks! The goal of this project is to invest and activate our parks, foster community pride and deter constant tagging. We will paint a new park on the last Wednesday of the month until May of 2025. Our next project will be at Freedom Park on September 25.

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this Volunteer Form. We are also accepting paint supply donations! Feel free to bring them by the front office before our next project!
