Community News
New Mural at Karl Rosario Park
The survey has closed and we counted the votes! Flowers were the top choice for what the community wanted to see on the new mural at Karl Rosario Park. The project was started on April 26th and is projected to be completed by the first week of May. Stop by the park to check it out!
When you visit the mural, you may notice there is still a blank section of the wall on the left. This section has intentionally been left blank. Community members of all ages will be able to place their handprint on the wall as part of our Art in the Park event in August!
North Highlands Narrative
We are thrilled to announce that Pancake Palace is our North Highlands Narrative Nominee for Summer 2024!
This family-owned business, led by Mohammed Shatnawi and his sons, has been part of the area for over 47 years and has been serving the North Highlands community for more than two decades. Beyond their friendly staff and scrumptious dishes, they also organize various social gatherings that foster connections within the community. These meetings often aim to enhance our community by facilitating discussions on providing resources for North Highlands residents. Pancake Palace truly embodies a business that is deeply rooted in and dedicated to serving the local community.
Do you know someone that should be nominated? Submit your nomination by July 1st to be considered!
