Community News

Paint the Parks

Paint the Parks finished another project at Larchmont Park on January 22nd and will paint Capehart Gymnasium next on February 26th.  As a reminder, this project began in July 2024 and will continue until early summer 2025. Each month, staff and volunteers head to a different park to paint so we can invest and activate our parks, foster community pride and deter constant tagging. In the meantime, be sure to check out our completed projects here!

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this Volunteer Form. We are also accepting paint supply donations! Feel free to bring them by the front office before our next project!

New Playground at Planehaven is Breaking Ground!

The wait is over, the new playground at Planehaven Park is breaking ground on Monday, February 10th. This playground was designed through a community survey that went over colors and amentities. We can't wait to play at this new park in the Spring! Stay tuned for more information on our grand "re-opening" event this summer.
