Paint the Parks

We are excited to start our newest initiative, Paint the Parks! After all the positive feedback from the Community Mural at Karl Rosario Park, we would like to continue to paint our parks! The goal of this project is to invest and activate our parks, foster community pride and deter constant tagging. We will paint a new park on the last Wednesday of the month until May of 2025.

Due to weather our Paint the Parks project at Larchmont Park has been delayed. We hope to resume the initiative in January 2025. In the meantime, be sure to check out our completed projects here!

If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this Volunteer Form. We are also accepting paint supply donations! Feel free to bring them by the front office before our next project!

Volunteers Needed!

A group of children with matching T-shirts and an adult posing together in a gym.

Volunteers play an important role in the success of any program or event. We are thrilled to have individuals like you who are eager to make a positive impact and help create memorable experiences for our residents.

We offer several volunteer opportunities for those who are interested in having a positive impact on our community. For the upcoming season we are specifically looking for:

  • Youth Basketball Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches

Volunteer commitment for the Youth Basketball League consists of one 1-hour practice during the week, and one 1-hour game on Saturday mornings or afternoons between February 3 - March 29.

Please complete the volunteer packet below and submit it either in-person at our District Office (6040 Watt Ave.) or through email at Recreation@nhrpd.org by January 10th. Once submitted, please wait for a response from us for further instructions.

For more information or questions about coaching in the Youth Basketball League, please contact chris@nrhpd.org.
