Crystal Harding-Jenkins

Crystal Harding-Jenkins was elected to the board in 2020 and is now serving her second term (2024-2028). Encouraged by peers and local leaders, she stepped into this role to amplify the district’s impact, expand programs, and build strong community partnerships.
She is committed to promoting affordable, high-quality programs, increasing scholarships, and ensuring accessibility for all. Crystal also advocates for employee well-being, recognizing that a strong team leads to a thriving community.
A first-generation immigrant from Liberia, Crystal holds a Master’s in Social Work from Sacramento State. She has dedicated her career to community empowerment, serving in leadership roles with the Black Child Legacy Campaign, LifeSTEPS, and First 5 Sacramento. She is CSDA Special District Leadership Academy Certified (2022) and a Planned Parenthood Community Advocate Ally of the Year (2019).
Beyond her work, Crystal and her husband Davon enjoy co-ed volleyball with NHRPD, traveling, great food, volunteering, and connecting people to resources.
