Soliciting Public Input
The North Highlands Recreation and Park District invites the public to attend a series of Design Workshops for the future Sierra Creek Park. The design workshops will offer an opportunity for the public and stakeholders to provide their input on how to best balance the publics recreational interests in this 7+ acre park site.
Workshop attendees will learn more about the site, funding opportunities and will be able to speak to their priorities for this park. The Sierra Creek Park site is located within the North Highlands Recreation and Park District off of Watt Avenue and Davidson Drive, near Spinelli Elementary School.
The NHRPD has contracted with the Sacramento firm of Houston Magnani and Associates to assist the district in preparing a grant application to develop Sierra Creek Park. This location has been identified as the district’s most competitive park site for Proposition 68 grant funding.
Public input and involvement is the most critical element in determining recreation elements and priorities for this future park. The District’s Board of Directors encourages the public to attend one or more these public design workshops in the coming months.
