Spring Youth Basketball League

(Grades 2-6)

Spring Youth Basketball League is designed to be a lightly competitive co-ed basketball league. Players will learn basic basketball fundamentals, rules, and game structure. Basketball is a great way for young athletes to make new friends and learn how to work within a team environment. This league divides players into three grade divisions (2 – 3) and (4 – 6). Participants will be randomly assigned to a team and will practice once a week for 90 minutes before their Saturday games. Deadline to register for the league is April 1. Fee includes reversible basketball jersey

Winter Youth Basketball

(Grades 2-3)

Winter Youth Basketball League is designed to be a lightly competitive basketball league for young boys and girls. Players will learn basketball fundamentals, how to work within a team environment, rules, and will ultimately have fun playing in games their friends! Participants will be assigned to a team, and will practice once a week for 90 minutes before their Saturday games. Fee includes reversible basketball jersey.

Games: Saturdays, January 27 – March 10

Early Bird Fee until Tuesday, January 9: $65.00

Winter Youth Basketball

(Grades 4-6)

NHRPD's 4th-6th Grade Division Winter Youth Basketball League is geared towards players who are just beginning their basketball journeys, and are looking to learn the rules and structure of the sport. This division is great for first time players. Players will be RANDOMLY assigned to a team, and will practice once a week for 90 minutes before their Saturday games. Fee includes reversible basketball jersey.

The Middle School Division of NHRPD Youth Basketball League is ideal for middle school-aged players that want to test their skills in an organized setting. Players will be assigned to a team, and will practice once a week for 90 minutes before their Saturday games. Fee includes reversible basketball jersey.

Youth Volleyball League

(Grades 5th to 8th)

NHRPD’s Youth Volleyball League allows participants to be introduced to volleyball in a lightly competitive six game season. They will learn skills such as passing, attacking the ball, serving, and setting. Participants will have an hour long practice during the week in preparation for their Saturday games. Practices will take place at either Capehart Gym (7916 Aztec Way, Antelope) or Ridgepoint Gym (4680 Monument Drive, Sacramento). Games will take place at Ridgepoint Gym. Fee includes team shirt.

Practices: Begin week of May 7
Games: Saturdays, May 19 - June 30
Game Location: Ridgepoint Gym

Pee-Wee Sports Camp

(Ages 4–7)

Pee Wee Sports Camp is a fun introduction to multiple sports. Each week, participants will be introduced to and will play a different sport. This class will include soccer, basketball, football, volleyball, and more!

Program Dates: Saturdays, June 9 – July 14
Time: 9:00am-10:30am
Location: Capehart Gym (7916 Aztec Way, Antelope)

Early Bird Fee: $40.00 (until Monday, June 4)
Regular Fee: $50.00 (starting Tuesday, June 5)


Pee-Wee Basketball

(Ages 4–7)

Pee Wee Basketball is a training camp for young hoopers, with six 90 minute sessions every Saturday. Participants will be taught rules, core fundamentals (including passing, shooting, and defense), and structure of basketball by experienced staff. They will learn new skills each week, and practice those skills through drills, group activities, and scrimmage games. Participants will receive a program t-shirt.

Kids Love Soccer

Program Dates: June 22 to August 10
Location: Freedom Park (Freedom Park Drive next to the Aerospace Museum of California)
Fee: $98.00

Mommy/Daddy & Me Soccer (ages 2 – 3): Fridays 6:00pm – 6:30pm

The fun happens on the field, so don’t just watch from the sidelines! Here is your chance to join in your toddler’s introduction to the world’s most popular sport. You’ll participate in fun, age-appropriate activities, and help your child to develop their motor and socialization skills. A variety of soccer activities are played each week. Adult participation is required. All kids receive a soccer jersey!

Tot/Pre-Soccer (ages 3 – 5): Fridays 5:15pm – 5:50pm

Little tykes will enjoy running and kicking just like the big kids! Teaches the basic techniques of the game and builds self-esteem through participation and fun soccer activities. Children learn to follow instructions in a nurturing, age appropriate environment. All participants receive a soccer jersey! Shin guards are required after the first meeting.


Kids Love Soccer

Program Dates: June 22 to August 10
Location: Freedom Park (Freedom Park Drive next to the Aerospace Museum of California)
Fee: $98.00

Soccer 1: Techniques & Teamwork (ages 5 – 6): Fridays 4:30pm – 5:15pm

Players will learn dribbling, passing, defense and shooting goals! Fun skill games are played at every session, and every participant will have a ball at his or her feet. Small-sided soccer matches will be introduced gradually. Perfect for first time players while being fun and engaging for kids with some experience. All participants receive a soccer jersey! Shin guards are required after the first meeting.

Soccer 2: Skillz & Scrimmages (ages 7 – 10): Fridays 3:45pm – 4:30pm

Kids will have a great time while developing core soccer skills like dribbling, passing and shooting in a team play format. Each class will include individual skill building and scrimmages to develop teamwork and positional play. All levels are welcome to come enjoy the world’s most popular game! All participants receive a soccer jersey! Shin guards are required after the first meeting.
