Message from our District Administrator

On behalf of the North Highlands Recreation and Park District, I would personally like to thank you for the support you’ve given our District over the past year.

North Highlands Recreation and Park District (NHRPD) provides many opportunities for recreation and leisure activities, many found at our community center, local schools and parks. Many of the programs and services are provided at low cost, and in some situations free of charge. Programs range from toddlers to seniors. Our park staff work diligently to keep our local parks clean, green and safe.

The District is offering many new and exciting new recreation and special event programs in the coming months, including our Community Yard Sale, October 14, Halloween Costume Parade, October 28 and our Breakfast with Santa special event December 2. Check out our Facebook page for many more exciting programs and activities facebook.com/NHRPD.

For the remainder of 2017 through 2018, there will be a number of changes at NHRPD. Improvements are planned for our community center located at 6040 Watt Avenue, and late in 2018 the district will complete its first new neighborhood park in more than twenty years. The currently “unnamed” new park is part of the Elverta Park residential development by Silverado Homes and will be located at 2850 Elverta Road, Antelope.

We look forward to continuing to provide you with outstanding programs, services and events now and in future years. Thank you again for supporting the North Highlands Recreation and Park District! And, remember, the fall is one of the best times of the year to visit our local parks!

Sincerely,

Larry Mazzuca
District Administrator
