First Aid/CPRFirst Aid/CPR Course

In this course, you will learn how to potentially save someone in an emergency, and add a valuable certification to your resume. Through instructor led classroom teaching and skills sessions, you will have the opportunity to practice and demonstrate skill competency required for certification. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive an Adult & Child CPR/First Aid Certification through the American Red Cross. Certification will be valid for 2 years.

Art Class

Art ClassThis class is open to students of all levels, from beginner to advanced. Instruction will cover multiple medias, including pastels, oils, water and acrylics. Students provide their own materials. This class goes continuously for three eight-week sessions. Participants must register at class. Ball Room Dance ClassBall Room Dance Class

This Ball Room Dance Class is designed for dancers who want to learn the basic dance moves of the ball room. The seven week course will go over the exciting dances of the Foxtrot and East Coast Swing.

Wednesday Night Live Line Dancing

Get your feet movin’ and learn the latest country dance moves. You’ll learn the basics of the 2-step plus the modern style of country western swing; a mixture of 2-step with various moves from swing. Gear up for a night of dancing to your favorite tunes. No partner required. (Ages 15 & Older)

Tai Chi

Tai-Chi is considered a graceful form of exercise. It involves slow, mediated movements that encourage meditation, relaxation, and stress management. Class runs for 1 hour and is appropriate for all ages – from youth to seniors!

Zumba Fitness with Mandy

ZumbaThere are a lot of ways to lose weight. Some are just more fun! Join the dance-fitness party that beats a boring old workout any day. The perfect combo of fun and fitness has made Zumba classes a world-wide phenomenon. Come ready to dance like no one is watching and have fun! No prior dance experience necessary.

Breakfast with the Bunny

Hop on over to the North Highlands Recreation Center for Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on April 15th. Hosted by the North Highlands Optimist Club, paticipants will enjoy hotcakes, sausage and juice. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will also be included. After breakfast, hop on over to Freedom Park for the Egg Hunt
